Private watch-backed lending · Melbourne
Watch loans in Melbourne—how the process would work.
Understand the proposed assessment stages, written costs and customer rights before deciding whether watch-backed lending may suit you. Watch Equity remains pre-launch and is not accepting watches or applications.
How a watch-backed loan works
Five clear steps before any decision.
Each stage is designed to separate an early indication from the final written terms.
- 01
Share the watch details
Provide the brand, model, reference, condition and whether the original box and papers are available.
- 02
Receive an indicative range
The information may support a preliminary estimate. It is not an offer, approval or professional valuation.
- 03
Complete a physical assessment
After launch, the watch would need inspection and authentication before any final amount could be considered.
- 04
Review the written terms
Consider the proposed amount, dollar charges, loan period, repayment requirements and relevant rights.
- 05
Choose whether to proceed
Only after launch, required checks and accepted written terms could a pawn contract be completed.
What shapes an assessment
The watch itself matters more than the retail price.
Brand, model and reference establish the starting point. Authenticity, provenance, physical condition, service history, completeness and present marketability shape the individual assessment.
After operational launch, clear photographs and accurate general details may help establish whether a physical assessment is worthwhile. They cannot replace inspection, authentication or identity verification.
Learn how watches are assessedBorrowing instead of selling
Keep the opportunity to redeem your watch.
A watch loan may suit someone who needs access to funds but does not want to make an immediate, permanent sale. If the proposed service launches and a transaction proceeds, the watch would be held as pledged security for the agreed period.
The pawn ticket and associated notices must explain the dollar charges, repayment requirements and redemption rights before you decide. Consider the complete cost and whether repayment is realistic for your circumstances.

Understand the essentials.
01What is a watch loan?+
It is a pawn loan secured by a watch. If the proposed service launches and a transaction proceeds, the watch would be held as pledged security while written terms apply. It is not an outright purchase.
02Which watches may be considered?+
The proposed service is intended to focus on Rolex and other established luxury brands. Future eligibility would depend on the model, authenticity, condition, completeness and current market demand.
03How much could I borrow against my watch?+
There is no fixed amount based only on the brand or retail price. Any indicative range depends on the individual watch and remains subject to physical inspection, authentication and the final written terms.
04Do I have to sell my watch?+
No. A watch loan is designed to preserve the opportunity to redeem the watch in accordance with the written agreement and applicable rights.
05Is same-day funding guaranteed?+
No. Watch Equity is not currently advancing funds. Same-day settlement is a future objective only and would remain subject to operational launch, eligibility, inspection, identity checks, accepted terms, cut-offs and bank processing times.
